Vacancy Details and Pay Scale
The 376 positions are distributed across three primary technical streams under Pay Level 6 (Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400) of the 7th CPC:
- Computer Science & Information Technology: 300 posts
- Data Science & Artificial Intelligence: 50 posts
- Electronics & Communication Engineering: 26 posts
Educational Qualification and GATE Requirements
To be eligible for the Scientific/Technical Assistant-A post, you must meet the following criteria:
Qualifications: You must possess a pass in M.Sc., MS, MCA, B.E., or B.Tech. in Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer Sciences, Computer and Networking Security, Software System, Information Technology, or Informatics (single or in combination).
GATE Score Requirement: You must hold a valid GATE score from GATE 2024, GATE 2025, or GATE 2026 in the relevant discipline. Specifically:
- For Electronics & Communication Engineering posts, a valid GATE score in Paper Code EC is required.
- For Data Science & Artificial Intelligence posts, a valid GATE score in Paper Code DA is required.
- For Computer Science & IT posts, a valid GATE score in the relevant Computer Science paper is required.
Age Limit (As on 30-09-2026)
The upper age limit is calculated as on 30th September 2026:
- General / EWS: 30 years
- OBC (NCL): 33 years
- SC / ST: 35 years
- Age relaxation applies for reserved categories as per central government rules.
